Jason Wolfe's Biography

I grew up in Upstate South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina Upstate. I also studied journalism at USC, and began my post college career writing for the Spartanburg Herald Journal. I then moved into advertising at the “World’s Smallest Daily Newspaper,” the historic Tryon Daily Bulletin. In 2010, I began working in research for pulp, paper, and synthetic fibers. This very different career opportunity taught me a wealth about scientific inquiry, the process of creating intellectual property, and many fascinating elements of engineering and system design. While working in research, I followed a longtime desire to enter the field of education and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Converse College, Spartanburg, SC.

My family and I live in Brevard, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We enjoy hiking and exploring in Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest. I also enjoy fly-fishing and spending time on the water in kayaks, canoes, and on paddle boards. I am the proud father of a Brevard Academy student and the proud husband of Brevard Academy’s 5th grade Social Studies/Language Arts Teacher, Mrs. Wolfe. I am honored and thankful to be part of Brevard Academy’s caring and dedicated team of educators, and I look forward to working with all our 6th grade students.
